Well said gpsman. All lights should be checked for accuracy on a regular basis. Some yellow lights are too short but the biggest problem is that too many people don't even care about the rules of the road or anything else, so innocent people suffer, as usual. Stupidity and misconduct should always foot the bill. Michael McGuire, state activist, (?) National Motorists Association was complaining about the red light cameras flash. Says it's very distracting and putting drivers at risk. (He'd rather be T-boned?) Try driving the Buckman daily with the sun piercing your eyes. Obviously you can't drive either, Mike. From a WTEV news broadcast, interviewed motorist BILL BISHOP says the cameras make him nervous and, in his own words threatens, "I WILL SLAM on my brakes to not have to worry about getting a 150. some odd dollar ticket NOT worrying whether somebody in back of me can stop." Ol Bill goes on to say that the cameras only change the kind of accident that happens. What a guy. Spilling coffee or spilling Blood! Big difference! Wonder how he'd feel if it was his friend or relative behind him after he uses his new stopping method. Could be a diesel truck behind you, genius. Wonder if he likes Vegas, or just gambling with everyone's life? I am floored! I don't want to be on the road at the same time as this fool. If there was ever anyone who needed to be COMPLETELY retested, right? So, why can't he slow down enough to properly STOP during the YELLOW light portion of the plan like so many of us have been doing for YEARS? I don't want my car up his cars rear portion any more than I want his car T-boning mine as he flies through the red lights. which I'm guessing was why he got that ticket just months ago that he's still whining about on TV. BUSTED BILLY, LEARN TO DRIVE! Nobody shoved you through that RED light. You drove through it voluntarily. YOU COULD'VE KILLED SOMEONE! Too many DUMBILLS on the road!

Redflex should be banned from doing business in the US. They were the nitwits caught shortening yellow intervals (by .2-.5 sec.) I think it was in TX that has every other nitwit screaming that every yellow interval is shortened. It is important that automated traffic enforcement remain above reproach.

So, if there were bribes, that means the Red Light cameras are all malfunctioning? How the heck do you figure that? Wouldn't 'we' check them all before spending major bucks installing them? Good grief. And this invasion of privacy, what the heck? What is private about driving around on public roads with tons of other people? The adults are whining about this the most. It's not a new law. Use the yellow light properly and all will be well. May all of your T-bones be on the BBQ grill

so redflex is going to shower every public official with "lavish gifts & trips"!!! well they said some employees, didn't meet their standards for conduct ??? does that mean they don't agree officials should be lavished, or some employees didn't lavish enough ??? regardless,, the cameras work & will generate revenue for cities across the state,,slowing the need for higher taxes on the rest of us... and an added benefit is it will eventually get lousy drivers off the roads, or at least cost them their licenses... nothing will prevent an unlicensed person from operating a vehicle if they so choose.. unless they seize offenders vehicles ???
