Jacksonville, FLA. - Casa Maya is located on Hypolita Street in the heart of Saint Augustine. The restaurant was temporarily closed down recently. Here's what we found in the state report.

The health inspector issued an emergency and temporarily closed the restaurant for live roaches. 38 were found in the dish washing area in a separate building from the main kitchen.

Casa Maya owner, Karla told us they have pest control service weekly. She says they sprayed the day before the inspector found the live roaches in the storage and dish-washing room which is separate from the main restaurant. Karla says she knows where the roaches are coming from. She says, "I think... the dumpster is close to us."

Karla is contacting the city about moving a dumpster out of the adjacent parking lot and away from her restaurant. She believes it's attracting roaches.

She and her husband Marco opened Casa Maya in 2005. Marco says in all their time in business this is the first time they've ever had an emergency order to close. We confirmed that with the state.

Karla says, "There's no problem..."

Casa Maya was back open a few hours after closing down to clean. Karla says she hopes you'll stop in for their most popular dish - the citrus marinated pork.

Here are the other restaurants topping the list with high priority violations this week:

At El Tapatio Original on 103rd Street in Jacksonville there were eight high priority violations including non-food grade containers being used to store red peppers.

At Keith Pierson Toyota on Youngerman Circle in Jacksonville there were seven high priority violations including a stop sale on chili and tuna salad. It had to be thrown out for not being eaten within seven days after opening.

The following restaurants had zero violations and earn our clean plate award:

Dreamette - Post Street, Jacksonville
Republic Parking - Dixie Clipper, Jacksonville
Everest University - Wells Road, Jacksonville
Gourmet Punch & More Family Cafe - Soutel Drive, Jacksonville
