Jacksonville, FLA. - Hot Wok is located in a busy shopping center on 103rd Street right near I-295 in Jacksonville. This week the state health inspector temporarily closed Hot Wok after receiving a complaint from a customer. Here's what we found in the emergency order:
17 violations, 3 of them high priority including:
10 live roaches crawling on gaskets in the prep reach in cooler
The inspector noted most of them were killed
A worker told us we were not able to talk to the manager or owner. She said Hot Wok has been open for 11 years at this location and that the restaurant is very clean.
We checked with the state and found after being closed to clean, the inspector documented that no violations were observed at Hot Wok the very next day.
