Jacksonville, FLA. - Zodiac Grill is located on West Adams Street in Downtown Jacksonville. The restaurant has been open at this location for fifteen years.
This week the state health inspector found 20 violations at Zodiac Grill. Six of the violations are considered high priority which means they could make you sick. Here's what we found documented in the state report.
Live flies were seen in the kitchen.
An employee prepping food changed gloves repeatedly without washing their hands.
Temperature violations with lettuce, ham, cheese, hummus, feta cheese - ice had to be added to the cooler. This is a repeat violation.
Owner Jerieef Ewaif told us his restaurant has been a clean plate award winner in the past for having zero helath violations (which we confirmed). He told us, "All violations have been fixed. We've been here for fifteen years and we do good business. We are one of the busiest places downtown."
