JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard suspended the search for an Army Sergeant from Fort Stewart, Georgia missing off the coast of Florida.
U.S. Coast Guard boat and air crews have been searching for Ronald Kemp, who is believed to have fallen overboard from the Carnival Cruise Ship Fascination Tuesday morning, about 25 miles off New Smyrna Beach.
The cruise ship left Jacksonville on Monday en route to Key West.
Crewmembers on the ship witnessed the 31-year-old fall off the boat.
An Air Force plane and two helicopters from Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach were also called in to help in the search.
