JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There is a lot of frenzy surrounding tonight's town-hall style debate. President Obama, largely railed for his performance in the first debate, has a lot to prove tonight.
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm says, he'll deliver. "He's clearly going to bring his A-game. He's going to first talk about where we've come from and the good news in the economy that we've all been seeing, especially in the last few weeks," she says.
Mitt Romney saw a large bounce in the polls following his debate performance. Representative Jason Chaffetz says tonight you'll see more of the same.
"Look in the first debate, Mitt Romney was Mitt Romney. I also thought President Obama was President Obama without a teleprompter. So if he has to practice and come up with something new, that's a challenge for the President," he says.
Expect both men to battle over their dueling tax plans. "Whatever he says the President is going to say you can have a 5-trillion dollar tax cut but you better tell the American people how you're going to pay for it. Call him on it. Ask him to be specific," says Granholm. "Mitt Romney's been more specific than any other candidate for the presidency. The question is, what does President Obama have for his plan?" says Chaffetz.
And expect passion from both candidates about which of them is best to lead Americans. "It means something for the people of Florida. Who is fighting for them? Who is fighting for the middle class? Who is fighting to keep jobs here? And who is fighting to make sure we have a safety net that doesn't have a huge hole in it?" says Granholm.
"I think the nation is so concerned about the debt, the deficit, what's happening with jobs. This is the sweet spot for Romney. That's why Floridians are going to come out in droves and support Mitt Romney on November 6th," says Chaffetz.
