Serious crash involving a scooter
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- 20-year-old Chelsea Wantz was rear ended on her scooter by a Ford Taurus Saturday morning along US-1 near the Deltona exit.
The Taurus was driven by 19-year-old Christopher Langford of St. Augustine.
Both vehicles caught fire after the wreck.
Wantz was transported to Flagler Hospital and then airlifted to Shands Jacksonville where she is in serious condition.
The investigation into the wreck continues by the FHP and charges are pending based on the investigation.
