SATSUMA, Fla. -- The son of the Putnam County sheriff has been arrested on larceny charges.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office was investigating a larceny case when the agency discovered jewelry had been pawned at the Northeast Florida Metal Exchange.
The investigation found Allison Gautier had stolen several gold rings, assorted coins, gold necklaces, several power tools, and a .45-caliber revolver from her parents. Several of the items were recovered.
The investigation also revealed that Gautier and her boyfriend, Joshua Imm, were living with her parents when the items disappeared. On Monday, Gautier was arrested and charged with eight counts of dealing in stolen property, eight counts of fraud, two counts of larceny, and burglary. Gautier's bond was set at $89,576.
On Tuesday, Joshua Imm was arrested and charged with 2 counts of larceny, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, burglary, and dealing in stolen property. Imm's bond was set at $12,020.
Sheriff Jeff Hardy stated "I love my son, but I do not condone his actions and my agency will not show him any favoritism."
