Shooting victim gives clues about attack before going into surgery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for a person who shot a man and a young woman in a driveway on Owen Avenue late Friday night.

Sgt. Lonnie Mills told Action News a 23-year-old woman was taken to surgery, but not before she was able to give police some details about what happened.

JSO has not released her identity or the name of the 35-year-old man who died from his injuries at the home.

Sgt. Mills said a person driving by heard the woman calling for help. The witness found both victims outside the car in the front driveway of a home.

When police responded the woman was able to give them some information before she was taken to surgery.

JSO says the shooting suspect was in a white or silver sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu. The car had dark tinted windows.
