Maybe people should ask all the Hostess employees how happy they are to now have Thanksgiving off. Twinkies will come back made by someone else but their jobs never will. Without the Black Friday sales, many stores would not survive, and some still might not. Nobody is forcing people to work for these stores. They work there because they need a job and that is all they could find or want. There are many people waiting to replace them, including now over 18,000 Hostess workers who gambled on a union's advice and lost. A lot of people would be happy to work any day so they can put many meals on the table, even if it means missing part of one to do it. A lot of restaurant, grocery, healthcare, public safety, and many other types of workers do. Let's not forget the football players, refs, stadium workers, broadcast workers, and others who entertain us from our La-Z-Boys. Where would we get our turkeys, chairs, and other products without stores? Even the Amish shop at Walmart nowadays.

I hope they lost their jobs! Unions are NOT for employees they are for union bosses and the politicians the union bosses want... If a company doesn't want a union they shouldn't have to have one and if you want to work and give up a portion of your paycheck to a union then move to a state that can't get out from under the union and try to survive there....UNIONS need to be abolished look what they put in our White House and he HATES the USA and Americans in general.

while some losers will be mobbing the stores,, in search of crap they neither want nor need,, i'll be eating turkey sandwiches & watching football in the comfort of my lazy boy...never participated in that black friday(where are the protests of outrage of the african americans over this name??)nonsense.. don't do crowds that are more like a mob ... can't wait for the horror stories to roll in about 200 wal mart shoppers being crushed to death !!! yeah that really puts me in the holiday spirit !!!

All these stores mentioned here think about money, money, money. What about the families that come together on Thanksgiving? They are taking away from that time especially their families and children. Why not start at 5 or 6 in the morning? That is the better way. Keep protesting and maybe one day they will listen. I know several people who will not be shopping at these stores on Thanksgiving day. Instead they will be devoting time with their loved ones.
