ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- With high temperatures expected throughout the weekend, the St. Augustine fire chief urges Mumford fans to stay hydrated.

The Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Tour is expected to attract more than 25,000 people. While fans are enjoying the sounds of music, first responders will be working overtime to keep them safe.
"About 10 people on overtime for today and tomorrow and we have all of St. Johns County Fire Rescue paramedics on the field, plus a couple of my administrative guys," said fire chief Mike Arnold.
Arnold's biggest concern is making sure people stay hydrated. Mumford fan Jared Vanbrocklin said he has seen what can happen when people don't heed the warnings at outdoor music festivals.
"Definitely, it's not as much fun when people are passing out around you," said Vanbrocklin.
Because many streets are blocked, traffic congestion for emergency vehicles is a concern.
"This has all been worked out with St. Johns County. They're going to be covering a lot of my areas for me, so we won't even dispatch a truck out of here if we think we can get another unit in to us," said Arnold.
According to Arnold, they'll also be running three-man rescue units to avoid sending extra trucks out and risking them getting stuck in traffic.
It's not the first time St. Augustine has dealt with such large crowds.

The Fourth of July celebrations draw thousands of people every year, but this time, the difference is most of the people will be in one area.
