HOLLISTER, Fla. -- A strong thunderstorm created wind and lightning that damaged structures and killed some livestock.
Some cows were under a tree when the lightning struck, and were killed. Joey Stoeffler says it took just one lightning bolt to kill the cows, while others scattered.

"I heard the lightning. I knew my brother-in-law lost cows" Stoeffler said.

The storm also knocked over some sheds. People in Hollister are glad it wasn't worse.

"Everyone else is fine, no one got injured so it's pretty good," said Chris Johnson, who lives nearby.

Neighbors will take care of the surviving cows until the owner returns from an out-of-state trip.
