Student charged with bringing gun to St. Augustine High school
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies arrested a juvenile on charges of bringing a gun to St. Augustine High School.
Another student spotted the juvenile suspect and told a school resource officer the student possibly had a gun.
Deputies talked with the student and learned the juvenile had a gun in a bag under a desk.
The juvenile now faces charges of possession of a firearm on school grounds.
Investigators say the gun was never displayed and no threats were made to other students.
The student has been suspended, according to district spokeswoman Christina Langston.
