JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Deputies say the ex-husband of a woman found shot to death in an Oakleaf subdivision was arrested Sunday morning at a Southside hotel.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, 44-year-old Adrian Bernard Seward was arrested without incident at a hotel along JTB.

Deputies say Seward is the suspect who shot 33-year-old Lashawna Lynn Criswell-Seward to death in a home on Pondview Drive in Orange Park.

Neighbors say the victim and suspect had an argument. When the victim ran to a neighbor's house, the suspect shot and killed her.

The two have a 7-year-old daughter. Investigators say she was not home at the time of the shooting. The girl was out of state on a trip with her biological father.

Seward awaits his next court appearance in the Clay County jail according to detectives.
