Mike Dunn did not fire his sidearm to stop loud music. That is not true and stupid to suggest. He fired it to save his own life from 4 Black men in a SUV with dark windows screaming at him repeatedly at Dunn's closed window while he waited for his wife to return to the car . -"You a dead Bi-ch"! Ima' Kill dat Mutha--ka" as he reached for a shotgun and opened the door to get out and blast Dunn in the face, that is why he fired,,, to prevent his own murder. These men were enraged and started to get angrier and angrier at Dunn because here is a little fat pudgy white sissy that had the nerve to politely ask them if they could turn down the music, they were blasting at full volume one foot from his ears, they did at first, he kindly thanked them and closed his window siting quietly minding his own business, then these four men feeling disrespected got infuriated and started to threaten Dunn with DEATH.If you threaten to kill a person in a rage of anger your victim will believe you, and Must fire first to survive just like the police will. Do not threaten folks with DEATH is the lesson here.

Do I believe that those kids had a weapon on them, I would not doubt that at all!! I was a witness to a stabbing in the past, do you know that the party that was with the guy that did the stabbing, one of his "HOMEBOYS" took the knife took off running & threw it, never to be found...Everyone wants to HOLLER it was just a kid, even KIDS KILL unfortunately this group of kids faced a situation that HOPEFULLY will teach them respect & you can not go around threaten people, if this didn't teach them, MARK MY WORD,In the FUTURE those same kids will have run ins with the LAW because they are seeming to get away for their wrongdoing!! THAT MAN DID NOT SHOOT THAT KID FOR NOTHING!!

My father & I are gun collectors, I DON'T CARE IF THIS GUY IS OR NOT but like many of the other comments ( that I agree with!). This individual chose to unload 8 to 9 rounds at young teens, WHICH is the ABSOLUTE last option! OVER LOUD MUSIC! Get your gas and leave!! Shooting that many rounds is WAY MORE than eliminating a "threat" as HE called it. THEN-(never calling 911/help) HE FLEES the scene of A SHOOTING!! And HE was the ONLY shooter! Where are the Security Tapes? No weapons found on any of the teens or in the vehicle? As a responsible gun owner- Gun Collector & Licensed to carry, YOU KNOW THE LAW & THE RESPONSIBILITIES of carrying a DEADLY Weapon! I HOPE THIS "IRRESPONSIBLE" Gun Owner is thoroughly investigated! It sounds like there may be some anger issues, bad temper, something! You just do not come from a a happy occasion weekend & then start shooting at what you "think" is a DEADLY threat??!! WITHOUT CALLING FOR HELP FIRST!!! Any record of any 911 calls before the shooting? Well, I could go on but I'm just a medically retired mom & grandmother as well, like I said earlier, a gun owner. But this story, there is so much else to it. It just really "burns" me that this guy is involved in a shooting,LEAVES the scene and has no clear explanation nor his attorney for his actions! I can't wait to hear Him explain his action! WAY TOO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!! Thank You Mrs.T

Treyvon Martin has absolutely nothing to do with this. This is a totally different scenario.

Hah, and I was about to say I was shocked to see a lack of hate crime accusations. That's definitely one thing Jacksonville seems to be good at.

This was a hate crime. The story from the attorney makes no sense.
