JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Word about the shooting of a 17-year old Jacksonville boy is spreading across the nation.

Hip-Hop and business mogul, Russell Simmons, sent out a tweet about Jordan Davis.

He's the teen who Jacksonville police say was gunned down by another driver because of the loud music coming from the SUV he was riding in. Davis was shot and killed in front of his friends at a gas station on the Southside.

Simmons tweeted:

"RIP Jordan Davis: 17yr old yng black man shot and killed for playing music too loud...http://bit.ly/11dzOky PLEASE RETWEET."

Michael Dunn, 45, was moved Tuesday from the Brevard County Jail back to Jacksonville where he faces charges of murder and attempted murder in the shooting.

The two came face to face Friday night at the Gate Station on Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road.

Police say an argument over loud music ended with Dunn firing several shots into an SUV carrying Davis and three of his friends. Dunn told police he felt threatened, and claimed the teens flashed a shotgun.

Jordan will be buried this weekend in Georgia.

Mike Dunn did not fire his Taurus he bought in 1990 to stop loud music. That is not true and stupid to suggest. He fired it to save his own life from 4 Black men in a tall SUV with dark windows screaming at him repeatedly at Dunn's closed window while he waited for his wife to return to his little VW . -"You a dead Bi-ch"!" over and over they shouted at him-"You gonna die" Ima Kill dat Mutha--ka" as he reached for a shotgun and opened the door to get out and blast Dunn in the face, that is why he fired,,, to prevent his own murder. These men were enraged and started to get angrier and angrier at Dunn because here is a little fat pudgy white sissy that had the nerve to politely ask them if they could turn down the music, they were blasting at full volume one foot from his ears, they did at first, he kindly thanked them and closed his window siting quietly minding his own business, then these four men feeling disrespected got infuriated and started to threaten Dunn with DEATH.

where's the monster in playing your music too loud? Where was the imminent threat towards this fool who left his vehicle to confront 4 perfect strangers about playing there music? This idiot could've left or found another parking spot, but instead he chose to take a life for no other reason than being an idot. Also you sound like a idiot too! Too many cowards packing heat...You're probably a coward too!

Previous post has nothing to do with this particular shooting but I am tired of the one-sided media reporting when it comes to violence by any one. There are some real monsters out there and people need to be aware of that.
