JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The First Alert Weather Team is tracking heavy rain and storms for the next couple of days with the heaviest arriving Monday evening and early Tuesday. The Storm Prediction Center has put our area in a slight risk for severe storms for Monday and Tuesday. A very strong front coupled with an area of low pressure will produce some potent weather in SE GA and NE FL. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging winds and possible hail. Although the morning commute on Monday will feature scattered rain showers the evening commute can expect heavier downpours with thunderstorms moving northeastward.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with showers and an isolated storm. Low: 57.
MONDAY: Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. Some storms will become strong to severe especially by late afternoon. High: 69.
MONDAY NIGHT: Heavier rain moves in along with the threat for more storms which will last all night long. Low: 62.
TUESDAY: Rain and storms will begin to wind down late Tuesday afternoon. More heavy rain expected otherwise. High: 78.
