JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people are safe after high winds and rain from Saturday's storm caused their boat to sink near Sisters Creek. According to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue the victims were found 350 yards off shore clinging to a cooler.

The victims tell Action News the 21-foot boat took on too much water from the storm and began to sink. They say, a freighter boat then passed by, pushing more water into the boat. That's when they called for help and decided to swim toward the shore for safety.

Both victims are o.k.

What level of genius takes out a small boat in the middle of a 3-day storm?
