ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WFTV) -- The athletic director for the University of South Florida had his tires slashed during the football game on UCF's campus Friday night, officials said.
School officials said Doug Woolard, USF's athletic director, returned to his car after the game to find someone had slashed the tires of his Audi. The vehicle was parked near the Wayne Densch Sports Center on campus.
Police are investigating the incident, which officials said happened during the UCF-USF game. The Knights defeated the Bulls 23-20 in the close game that kicked off at 8:15 p.m.
UCF officials said the school gave Woolard a courtesy vehicle so he could drive home to Tampa. Additionally, UCF Athletic Director Todd Stansbury personally drove Woolard's vehicle back to Tampa Saturday morning, according to officials.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the UCF Police Department.
