Walmart worker: Fired for helping assaulted woman

HARTLAND TOWNS, Mich. (WSB) -- A Michigan man says he was fired from his job at Wal-Mart after he tried to help a woman being assaulted in the parking lot of one of the retail giant's stores and ended up fighting with her attacker.

As I really dislike shopping at wallyworld, and I think they violate a lot of employment 'guidelines'..I am happy to have read they are going to start buying and selling more AMERICAN MADE products. I guess time and labels will tell. It could just be a rumor to get their lagging business sales up.

Doing the right thing violates store policy. How many times have you see when people look the other way, and allow a crime to be committed waiting for police to show? You would think someone with better job opportunity for this guy would hire him. Yes it's hassle for insurance companies, but standing around letting someone be harmed is not ethical or the right thing to do.

Really? He was not a permanent employee, Walmart hired him back. (No doubt to avoid a lawsuit)..Get caught up, actionnewsjax.
