JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Action News has learned a local woman filed an injunction for protection against Charity Chatman, the mother who is accused of taking her own daughter, Onnika.

Court documents obtained Friday night by Action News show a judge granted the request to Brandy Smith just over one month ago.

Circuit Court Judge David C. Wiggins issued the order on Nov. 26, 2013.

The terms of the order for protection called for no violence against Smith, including stalking, battery, false imprisonment or "any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death."

The judge also ordered Chatman to have no contact with Smith, saying the mother who has a history of mental illness could not go within 100 feet of Smith's home or workplace in Atlantic Beach.

Judge Wiggins called the injunction "valid and enforceable in all counties of the State of Florida" until Nov. 26, 2014.

Chatman's daughter Onnika is the focus of a statewide Amber Alert.  DCF told Action News Chatman told a caseworker during a supervised visit at the Jewish Family & Community Services Center in Lakewood that she had gifts in her car for her daughter.
