Woman shoots self, fisherman with BB gun on Northside
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office swarmed a section of Heckscher Drive near the Carnival cruise line terminal earlier tonight for what turned out to be a woman who shot herself with a BB gun.
Police say a woman in a camper shot herself in the foot and then inadvertently shot a nearby fisherman with the airgun or BB gun. The fisherman contacted police who then investigated the incident. The woman who fired the shots was taken in for treatment of her minor injuries and then taken in for questioning.
The fisherman was treated for his minor injuries on scene.
