JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Joyce Williams and Joycelyn Glover are convicted in the attempted murder of their niece Kiwana Daniels.
Williams was convicted on charges of attempted murder and carrying a concealed firearm. Glover was convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The convictions come from a December 2012 shooting. Williams and friends were playing cards and talking in the front yard of her home when a fight occurred between Williams, Glover, and the victim Kiwana Daniels.
The argument started when Daniels became upset with what Williams and Glover were saying about her children.
Williams and Glover pushed the victim. Then Glover pulled out a gun. Seconds later, Williams pulled out another gun and shot Daniels in the stomach.
Williams faces a minimum mandatory of 25 years in prison. Glover faces five years in prison.
Both defendants will be sentenced the week of June 17th.
