Will he tell a muslim to take off her head scarf that covers her face or a Jewish person to take off his yamaka, or an Amish guy to remove his hat. What about if you came in because it got a little cold and you were weaaring a silk cap or just going hunting and you came in with you gear on including your camo hat and you know they don't take that camo hat or camo silk cap off.

The stores should band pajamas, nite caps/silk caps in all stores to include bedroom slippers. Do they band hats because most bank robbers wear baseball caps or a ski mask. Some even rob you with a regular hat on and sun glasses so we should band all hear wear to include sunglasses because you can't see their eyes.

What happened to the rule and respect from our parents bat not wearing hats, hoods, and or masks in any public building?The respect for our people of this nation is slowly deliceing.

Apparently the news station and/or the reporter writing this article does not recall that there were two attempted holdups of gas stations in Nassau County, namely Yulee, in Novemeber. In one of the attempted robberies a hoodie was worn by the alleged perpetrator. Maybe that is why they are asking that you remove your hoodie inside the store?

Try getting into any government building with a hoody. I am 100% behind the store manager and your reporter should watch the news to keep informed. This should not even be debated with all the robberies and killings by hooded criminals!

This sign does not offend me & I wish the store I am employed by would at least require shoppers to have shoes & a shirt on when shopping. It may be cool temps right now, but when it warms up, so does all the stink on bodies! Very nasty!

I don't see what the big deal is....you must remove your hat when you have a picture ID taken and there are plenty of public buildings that Security Guards ask that you remove your sun glasses and hats. It's for the owner's, employee's and public's safty, besides you can always put it back on when you walk back out of the door. The only ones that I can see thinking that this would be a problem are the ones with something to hide.

I am behind the store owner and his no hoodie ban. All he is asking is for you to uncover your head . I guess that the ACLU will be getting involved. If I worked in a store and you came in with a covered face I would press the alarm and call the cops. This is the only protection most store owners have. We can dress like we want, but we need to be respectful of other people and respect there rules.

As a small business owner who was "jokingly" held up by a teen playing a "prank" last week - I totally agree with this store's right to say "No Hoodies" if it helps protect the employees and customers. If hoodies and guns are used in the majority of robberies, I think it's smart to ban both items from businesses.

I think people should dress the way they want but when you enter someone elses property they have right to ask you not bring in guns or wear things that might facilitate crime.
