JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former Jacksonville firefighter accused of sexually assaulting a woman is expected back in court this morning.

Daniel Evans is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman as she left a downtown bar back in June. The victim says she was struck in the head and sexually assaulted. When officers arrived on the scene, a witness told them he had seen a bald man wearing dark clothing beating up a woman on the ground.

A man that fit the suspects description was found nearby. And when the witness saw him, he identified the alleged attacker as Daniel Evans.

Evans is expected back in court for his final pre-trial January 31st.
