JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars owner revealed his vision for a giant video board last month. Now he could be getting help making that dream a reality.

There is a push in the Florida Legislature to help sports teams and leagues renovate their facilities.

Florida lawmakers are considering providing finances for both the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars stadium renovations, as well as the Daytona International Speedway.

Governor Rick Scott is on board with the plan, but he wants to make sure there are requirements that will protect the taxpayers.

He is also proposing a $5 million incentive to keep baseball spring training here in Florida.

Some Senate Republicans are saying they will not approve the new incentives without adjusting some current tax breaks and other incentives.

I don't want my taxes going for this. I'm a football fan but many people aren't. Why does a losing team need a billboard? We're alreay a national embarrassment; why advertise it? The whole country is laughing at us for not drafting (or later hiring) one of our own local sensations that would have put the Jaguars on the map. How about packing up and leaving town like the Colts did? I am not a racing fan and I think wasting all that fuel and rubber is outrageous, so I don't want to contribute to that either.

Why should taxpayers have to pay for a business that can afford to play their employees (players) tens of millions of dollars.
