JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man accused of killing a local high school senior during an argument over loud music is set to appear in a Florida courtroom Monday afternoon.

Police say 45-year-old Michael Dunn shot 17-year-old Jordan Davis during an argument over loud music. The shooting happened Friday at a gas station at Southside Blvd. and Baymeadows Rd. Police say Dunn fired 7-8 shots into the teen's SUV, hitting and killing Davis. Dunn then left the gas station, JSO says he may not have realized he hit anyone. Dunn was arrested in Brevard County on Saturday. He told detectives he fired the gun because he felt threatened. Dunn is facing murder and attempted murder charges.

Jordan's father, Ron Davis, says he wants to see justice served, "Killing my son he's going to lose his life. Whether it be through the legal system or to God. God's going to punish him for that, so me, I don't want to do anything to him."

Funeral services are set for Saturday at noon at Trinity Chapel Church of God, located at 4665 Macland Road in Powder Springs, Georgia. Internment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

There is an online guestbook.

No one else was hurt in the shooting.

I don't mind other people's music in PUBLIC (they usually have a better sound system than I do and I am MUCH closer to the shooter's age than the victims) know..PROPERTY that I don't own, that I only have to endure for moments. I have the RIGHT to roll up my windows, move my car, go into the gas station or leave. This cranky guy deserves whatever he gets. I think he's a liar; Who fires a gun and drives off, THEN goes home!

It is sad that any one gets killed but why does it have to be racism.I have had young teens try to punk me and I'm 42 years old,if he was a white guy that got shot by a black man it wouldn't have even made the news, but seeing how a white guy shot a black guy it's a act of racism ??? It is for the court's to make the decision not the black panther's!!!!! They were not even there !!!! There was a Indian guy that was robbed and killed in Florida by a black guy and no one said anything ... every one needs to get over racism in God's eyes we all are the same. so why is it so different when it's a black person that gets killed then a white person?

I can't stand hearing other peoples music, but I would never kill another person for something so stupid like this. This young man had so much ahead of him and in the blink of an eye one person took it away all because of music. RIP Jordan I may not know you but you will not be forgotten!

It wasn't [really] about music; it was about racism and a dolt.
