I do like the idea of having a cam running in the car when it's being driven. I'm going to look into installing one this weekend.

Should educate pedestirans and drivers about using commmon sense. Problem is people walk out into on comming traffic not even looking at the drivers or the cars. They just stare at their devices or straight ahead and dare you to strike them. I have seen people see cars comming and walk right out in front them even though the car has the right way.Stating that car has to stop. Betting that something weighing in excess of 2500 lbs can stop or it's driver is not distracted is bad bet. I have seen people walking on the side of the road, as in the road instead of the grass, right when 2 cars are passing expecting not to get clipped. I have seen drivers force oncomming cars to the side of a lane outbounds to avoid being hit. I have seen men, mostly black, a few years back that intentionally try to get clipped by cars to collect huge insurance settlements. All of this in Jacksonville. Gainesville gives right way to pedistrans even putting up speed trap toll boths. All pedistran crosswalks are considered stop signs. Drivers need to fight back start installing crash cams in their cars to show the stupidity other drivers do and pedestrians as well. Then we need to start getting it aired on the news. If prices of cars continue to climb along with insurance and gas alot of us will be walking as well. Poor can't even afford the fixer uppers anymore as the mechanics want 1200 bucks or more everytime the car breaks down.
