Boat found off Florida coast was carrying ‘man and woman of Earth'

An investigation of a boat spotted 8 miles offshore led to an odd exchange between U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials and the couple on board.

Inside of the boat, which did not have identifying marks or registration numbers, were Duncan Curry, 29, of North Carolina, and Leah Barreras, according to TCPalm.

When asked where they were from, the pair would only identify themselves as residents of Earth.

Curry told officials “I am me,” when asked his name, and Barreras told them they “are man and woman of Earth,” according to TCPalm.

Barreras also said that she and Curry lived on the boat.

The pair were taken to Fort Pierce, and Curry was arrested for resisting an officer without violence after he allegedly resisted having his fingerprint taken.
