Boil water advisory issued for Westside neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Westside neighborhood is under a boil water advisory Saturday morning due to a water main break caused by weather damage.

The area affected is between 103rd Street to the north and Parman Road to the south, Smithtorian Drive to the east and Connie Jean Road to the west.

According to JEA, customers should bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute prior to using for drinking, food preparation or cooking.

The advisory will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and two consecutive days of satisfactory bacteriological results have been obtained.

JEA says affected customers will be notified when the advisory is lifted.
