Eight videos that show what it was like as Atlanta's airport became dark

Power is out at Hartsfield-Jackson international Airport in Atlanta and all flights are being held, officials said Sunday.

Power went out at the Atlanta airport at 1:15 p.m. and all flights were being held, officials said Sunday.

The FAA has ordered a ground stop on all flights headed to the Atlanta airport due to the power outage. Evacuations were underway at the airport.

Georgia Power said it expects to restore power by midnight.

A Delta Air Lines pilot told passengers a construction crew cut a power line, causing the outage, but an airport spokesman, Andy Gobeil, said officials weren't sure.
