Fla. missing child alert issued for 12-year-old

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida missing child alert has been issued Saturday for a missing 12-year-old boy. The Fernandina Beach Police began searching for Peter Bresko when his father reported him missing.

FBPD said Bresko was with his father at the Downtown Farmers Market Saturday around 11 a.m. He left his father, who is a vendor, to use the restroom and did not return.

Bresko was spending the summer with his father and may be upset about going home. On July 31, Bresko was supposed to fly home but exited the plane before take-off, the police said. FBPD says the boy was later found at the airport and returned to his father.

Bresko is on foot and does not have a bicycle or other known transportation.

Bresko was last seen wearing dark blue shorts, a T-shirt and Florida Gators hat. He is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds.

Anyone having any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Fernandina Beach Police Department at 904-277-7342 or contact Lieutenant Jack Bradley at 904-557-4344.
