A St. Johns County man with a Julington Creek address has been jailed without bond after he was accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl at a pool.

Tyler Tillman, 18, is accused of choking a girl and forcing her to have sex in the early morning hours of Aug. 15. Because this happened in a public pool, the incident was caught on video, deputies said.

The location of the incident was redacted in the arrest report.

Deputies said they were called to Flagler Hospital to examine the victim, who showed signs of injury to her vagina as well as numerous bruises to various parts of her body. The victim is under the age of 18, the report said.

The victim told deputies that she contacted Tillman on a social media application and asked him to bring her alcohol, which he did. They both drank vodka, the report said, and they decided to take a swim in a community pool.

While kissing, Tillman became aggressive, the arrest report said. The encounter escalated when Tillman reportedly struck her in the head while the two had sex. The report says that Tillman threw the victim onto the pool deck and had "violent" sexual intercourse with her.

At least one person called 911 after they heard the female yelling in pain. The 911 recordings said "there's a guy beating the [expletive] out of a girl." The 911 caller was awakened by the two yelling, the report said.

The police report says, “The victim described she had been choked repeatedly with both of the suspect’s hands around the front of her neck.”

In the report the girl told police, “He threw me over the side of the pool and pushed my head to the ground. When it all started, I knew it was going to be a rape.”

The police report said surveillance video also shows the girl stumbling to a patio area, and falling down.

“It’s like a world of shock right here,” said Otto Ohm, a neighbor.

“That’s horrible, that just makes me sick,” said Angie Anderson, a mother in the area. The mother of three teens said she will be having a serious talk with her kids tonight. “I wish all parents would talk to their kids, not that we can control everything,” she said.

Tillman was arrested the day after the incident and charged with battery, possession of alcohol and sexual battery.

One witness said Tillman threatened to murder his family if he identified him as the suspect.
