A 20-year-old St. Augustine man is accused of screaming profanities at deputies after leading them on a high speed pursuit on Sunday.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said that Gregory Johnson was clocked going 94 mph on State Road 2097.

According to the arrest report Johnson refused to pull over until he arrived at his home on Bay Hawk Lane. The report goes on to say he smelled of alcohol and had vomit on his face. He was also wearing soiled pajamas.

Deputies allegedly discovered an almost empty bottle of vodka and marijuana inside the car. They said that Johnson got out of his vehicle and began yelling expletives at law enforcement.

Neighbor Gregg Morrill told Action News Jax: “Nobody wants to have somebody that’s doing illegal activity living near them.”

The report says Johnson admitted to underage drinking – telling deputies "Tito’s (vodka) got me (expletive) up."

He’s charged with DUI, reckless driving, possession of marijuana and possession of liquor by a person under the age of 21.
