The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, the Florida Forest Service and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded Wednesday evening to a 1-acre woods fire near Monument and Lee roads in East Arlington.

A JFRD source said it sent four to five tankers and five engines to respond to the fire. Florida Forest Service brought two bulldozers to plow lines around the fire.

One vacant residential structure was lost.

All lanes of Monument Road between St. Johns Bluff Road and Lee Road were shut down as firefighters fought the blaze.
