14-year-old among two teens accused in string of St. Johns County car burglaries

A 14-year-old and 17-year-old are accused of stealing several guns and laptops from unlocked cars in St. Johns County.

Deputies said they recovered several guns and arrested the 14-year-old in connection with a car burglary on Marlee Road on Feb. 17

He was charged with armed burglary to a conveyance and grand theft.

Deputies are still searching for a 17-year-old in connection with the burglary on Marlee Road.

Deputies said the teens are suspects in four other burglaries on Marlee, Sheffield and Lee roads, deputies said.

Deputies recovered two laptops and several guns that were stolen in the burglaries.

Detectives are reminding people to secure their valuables and lock their car doors.
