A 2-year-old boy was burned by a bonfire on Hoover Road in Palatka on Friday night, Putnam County Fire Rescue said.
Something in the bonfire popped and the child was burned in the face, fire rescue said.
The child is in stable condition and was transported to a hospital in Gainesville.
