57-year-old Glynn Co. woman stops attempted armed robbery

Three people were arrested after a 57-year-old woman stopped an attempted armed robbery in Glynn County on Friday.

Police said the woman from Loganville, Ga. was sitting in her car with the door open in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby and Sam's Club on Canal Crossing when two men came up to her.

One man threatened her with a knife and told her to get out of the car, police said.

She refused, shut the door and locked it.

The men then fled toward I-95 in a white Dodge Ram.

A police officer heard the call about the attempted robbery and saw the truck.

He stopped the truck and arrested 26-year-old Zachary Combs of Baltimore, 27-year-old Zachary Miller of Newark and 27-year-old Steven Ratliff of Conowingo, Maryland.

Police said they are charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
