Action News Jax goes 'Over the Edge' for North Florida Boy Scouts

Action News Jax went over the edge for the Boy Scouts of America on Thursday.

Action News Jax Anchor and Reporter Letisha Bereola rappelled 111 feet off the Omni Hotel for North Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s Over the Edge event.

The Boy Scouts Of America’s goal is to develop boys into outstanding citizens who will forever use the Scout Oath and Law to guide the way they go about their daily lives and interact with others.

“Over the Edge” is a creative way to engage the community to help fund the program.

Jack Sears, Scout Executive CEO of North Florida Boy Scouts said now is the right time to put our focus on local kids.

“ I think the community could use more boy scouts,” Sears said.
