Action News Jax presents Hurricane Matthew: After the storm

Hurricane Matthew was the most powerful storm to hit Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia in more than a century.

More than 1 million Floridians were told to evacuate and two people in Northeast Florida died during the storm.

The downtown St. Augustine area was hit especially hard.

Wind and rain also pounded the Jacksonville and Atlantic Beach communities.
