Action News Jax Skyvision gives bird's-eye view of upcoming changes to SR 9B

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Just before the sun set Tuesday, Action News Jax Skyvision took to the skies Tuesday to give viewers a unique perspective of the changes coming to SR 9B -- it's a view only seen on ActionNewsJax.com

Every time Action News Jax Skyvision hits the skies, it's flown by a licensed pilot.

Phase one is already complete, and the Florida Department of Transportation said phase two should be completed by the summer.

Phase two connects U.S. 1 to Interstate 95.

The FDOT said a lot of people have been calling and asking questions about this phase because the work can easily be seen from the highway.

Crews are also working on phase three, which is being built from I-95 to St. Johns Parkway.

FDOT says they are on schedule for completion of the entire project in 2018.
