JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 16-year-old teenage boy is in non-life-threatening condition after he was shot while walking in the 3000 block of Pearce Street on Wednesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said an unknown white vehicle drove by the teen and fired three shots, two of which hit the teen, one in the right hand and one in the right calf.
The teen told police he didn't get a good enough look at the vehicle, so he was uncertain if it was an SUV, sedan or truck. While the boy has family in the area, he does not live there.
No witnesses saw the shooting, so police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect.
