Another coyote spotted in Atlantic Beach

More coyotes have been spotted in Atlantic Beach.

Video from Saturday captured a coyote coming out of the wood line just feet away from homes on Linkside Drive.

The latest sighting has alerted neighbors.

Resident Michelle Kelley said she will keep a closer eye on her children when they play outside. “I’ll probably be out with them,” Kelley said.

For months, Action News Jax has been telling you about coyote sightings across Atlantic Beach.

Earlier this month, a coyote was caught on camera casually trotting down the fairway at the country club, less than a mile from where the latest one was spotted.

Neighbors said they would like to discuss the possible relocation of the wild animals.

“There are areas where they will be safe and they will not be a nuisance,” Lance Brazil said.

However, Florida Fish and Wildlife officials said relocating coyotes is inefficient and ineffective because they will continue to come back.

Officers suggest learning to live with the coyotes.
