Blackfinn Jacksonville closes its doors at Markets at Town Center

Blackfinn in Jacksonville has reportedly closed its doors for good.

A handwritten sign reading, "BlackFinn is Permanently Closed" was posted on the door of the popular restaurant at the Markets at Town Center Monday.

One employee tells Action News Jax she wasn't given any notice of the restaurant closing.

She said she went to bed as a full-time employee, then went to the restaurant Monday to find the sign on the door.

The chain has since deleted social media pages relating to the Jacksonville location.

In Aug. 2016, a 34-year-old man was found dead in a bathroom stall at the restaurant.

A BlackFinn employee found David Davoli's body in a locked bathroom stall after closing time, officials said.

Action News Jax contacted the restaurant to find out why it closed its doors but calls and emails were not returned.
