BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — James Olin, who goes by Turtle, was spotted by a witness on Sunday night around 8 p.m., but didn't realize he was missing at the time, so the sighting wasn't reported to police.
Bloodhounds were searching earlier Monday afternoon and a horse posse was searching a wooded area near his home Monday evening.
The crew at the Gainesville Fire and Rescue Department station on 1200 block of NW 30th Avenue recognized the teen when he walked up. The teen was hungry, so he was given food and water until police arrived.
Turtle was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and is in safe hands now, Gainesville Fire Rescue said..
