JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 1981 El Camino caught fire as the owner was working on it in his Westside garage Saturday morning.
According to the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, they received the call at 8:45 a.m.
The JFRD says the fire ripped through the entire garage.
The homeowner tells Action News he attempted to push the car out of the garage, but it was no use.
The JFRD says the fire destroyed both the garage and the car and part of the house.
Firefighters told the homeowners they cannot stay in their home for the time being.
Both the homeowner and his girlfriend are safe.
