Carjacking suspects immediately caught

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the 2200 block of Wooddale Street early Saturday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office tells Action News units were dispatched and the description of the stolen vehicle was sent out over the police radio.

Patrol units found a vehicle matching the description at University Boulevard and Philips Highway.

Officers say the people in the vehicle left the car, fled on foot and were captured by the JSO with the help of the Florida Highway Patrol.

The suspects were arrested and taken to a pretrial detention facility.
