ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Three men seen in surveillance footage rolling a claw gaming machine out of a St. Augustine Walmart are not repairmen, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
“I feel like that’s a really big item to steal, so it’s going to take some time. So, how did no one notice? And then, how did someone have all the resources to pull it off?" customer Matthew Marena said.
According to the incident report, someone called the store about picking up a broken machine. In video, the men can be seen rolling the machine out of the store and loading it into a white truck.

Deputies said an actual machine serviceman arrived to work on the game only to find it gone.
“I’ve never even heard of something like that. I wouldn’t even think of doing something like that. It’s insane,” Marena said.
Investigators said the three men pulled the claw machine theft off not once, but twice.

They believe the three are connected to a similar incident in Gainesville.
Shoppers wondered what the thieves could do with the machines.
“Maybe try to sell it to another store to have it in their store. Maybe you make some money off of it. I think that’s all you can do with a claw machine,” Marena said.
