The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office searched a pond in Ponte Vedra on Tuesday afternoon for possible evidence in connection with a man's murder.

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office searched a pond in Ponte Vedra on Tuesday afternoon for possible evidence in connection with a man's murder.

SJSO posted a photo of the search on its Facebook page and confirmed it was related to the case of Joseph Reddock Sr., 70, who was found dead in his home on Wednesday.

After Reddock Sr. was found dead Wednesday, deputies began searching for his son, Joseph Reddock Jr., in connection to Reddock Sr.'s murder.

On Thursday morning, Reddock Jr. and his wife Samantha were found dead of a double suicide in a Daytona Beach motel.

Notes were found both at Reddock Sr.'s home and in the Daytona Beach motel.

Cmdr. Chuck Mulligan said the dive team was searching the pond in connection with the case just to see if anything was dumped.

Mulligan said there is no indication that anything was dumped in the pond, but the team is checking just to be sure.
