Jacksonville hospitals taking donations as COVID-19 infections rise

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax reporter Ryan Nelson learned some health organizations are needing supplies. Baptist Health and Ascension St. Vincent’s are looking for donations.

Here is what Baptist Health has on their website:

“Our team members give so much of their time and talents to Baptist Health every day to make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Right now, COVID-19 is placing incredible and unanticipated pressure on our clinical teams. In the short term, we have the PPE that our teams need. But we need to prepare and look beyond our immediate needs.

We’ve heard from many in the North Florida community that you want to support Baptist Health Team Members as they continue to provide excellent care through this crisis. You can help with monetary donations or donations of goods.

The Baptist Health Foundation has a variety of ways you can help!

While all donations of essential PPE, in any amount, are welcomed and encouraged, Baptist Health is exceptionally thankful for donations of unopened and unexpired:

  • Clorox bleach wipes (or equivalent)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Face shields
  • Goggles
  • N95s (or any equivalent CDC- approved masks)
